G&G Style TV cabinat

Good news is that the Kiaat will be available during the next 2-3 weeks. At last i can start with this project.

My client has changed my design of the cabinet to a dimension of 900 mm height compared to my  design of 556 mm high. This is my design of the Big Screen TV cabinet. i did not draw the Ebony splines and square pegs, so i will do that later on.

My next step is to make a new drawing and ad extra drawers and a shelf. I will also put some ventilation holes in the back when making the piece.

Starting up on my new Blog

Hi All,

I am starting a new blog for my woodworking. I don't have a lot to say or to show now. Must learn how this works.
I am a woodworker who makes custom furniture pieces. My preferred style is the Greene & Greene style of furniture. A style that got a big grip on me since i first saw it on the Internet back in 2004 when i worked in Texas USA. I not only love the G&G style but love to work with wood. Creating some special furniture peace. Starting with a idea on a peace of scrap paper , doing the full design on my PC(creating the final dimension and shop drawings) and then planing the project and building the piece.

I will post some of my past work later on. The first project i will do now is a G&G style custom TV cabinet. I will use Kiaat for this piece with African Blackwood square pegs. As soon as Kiaat comes available from Zambia i will start posting the progress of the project from my sketch through milling lumber, making templates and jigs to assembling and finishing.
